HP OfficeJet Pro 8715 - lost color option on Paper Quality tab in Printer Preferences

The printer no longer shows the Color Option or Automatic Duplex in the Printer Preferences. I have tried a) hard reset of the Printer; b) uninstalling and reinstalling the printer & printer drivers; c) the troubleshooting applications. Nothing has worked.

 

This problem began after running out of black ink in the middle of a print job. Prior to that this was not a problem since purchasing the printer in Oct 2018.

Hi,

Try following below version of the HP Print and Scan Doctor Utility by selecting your printer:

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/printers/hppsdr/patches/HPPSdr.exe

 

Be sure to restart your PC and allow the utility to complete the process, then check for any difference.

 

Try printing and check for any change, if the same remains try printing using the newly added print queue copy and check.
