HP Officejet 4655 Black ink skipping horizontal lines

Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently moved and took my printer out of storage it had been in for 7 months. Whenever I try to print something, the colored portion comes out correctly, but the black ink leaves out entire horizontal lines, creating a repetitive horizontal pattern ink-free. I've tried cleaning the cartridges several times to no avail. The color works just fine, though any picture I print still looks like it has stripes where black ink would have been used. I even tried replacing black ink, using a genuine HP cartridge. What could be the problem, and how would I remedy it.

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you. I'm afraid this seems like an issue with the printer. If you have tried the steps mentioned in this document and the issue persists, please contact our HP Support team for Service Options:

1) Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/

2) Select your product type below.

3) Enter the serial of your device.

4) Select the country from the drop-down.

5) Select the appropriate option based on your preference.

6) Fill the web-form and proceed further.
