HP Officejet 4658 has stopped printing (other than test pages)

hp compaq desktop
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Sandytechy20 @ HP responded to our previous request on 22/09 and we have followed his suggestions, but to no avail. We have also completely uninstalled and re-installed all relevant software, even via cd). Printer shows as connected via wifi  and makes all printing sounds but does not print (other than hp test pages which are fine). Shows inks as being authentic and sufficient.

New password requested for Robm10 but nothing received at supplied email so have set up new account here. New Canon printer we have had to purchase is working properly on wifi.

@RobM10ten

Welcome to HP support community.

Are you getting any error message while printing?

Did you uninstall the printer driver from root level?

If not, perform root level uninstallation to remove all the printer related software's.

Press the Windows key + R on the keyboard to bring up the run menu.

Type %temp% in the run field, and click OK.

Look for, and open the folder starting with 7z (Example: 7zS2356)

Open folder Util

Open folder CCC

Run the uninstall_ L4.bat

When the uninstall has completed restart the computer

Press the Windows key + R on the keyboard to bring up the run menu.

Type %programfiles% in the run field and click OK.

Delete any HP/Hewlett Packard folders.

Download and install printer full feature driver

Click here to download the driver.

Update the printer firmware

Refer the steps mentioned in this document:- Click here

Let me know how it goes.

To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

Cheers.
