HP officejet 6600
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Wireless network test results indicate No Filtering failed under settings. I've tried several solutions: 1) restarted the Gateway; 2) restarted the printer; 3) put the printer back to factory settings and restarted Gateway and reconfigured printer.

I have a unique SSID and password for my home internet and all my other devices will connect to it except for the printer. It worked with the new Gateway for about three weeks and now will not connect to the wireless internet. Any other suggestions are welcome.

@Pam724,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I reviewed your post and I understand that the printer is not connecting to the wireless router.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

  • Is the router configured for 2.4GHz or 5GHz frequency?
  • What is the wireless light status on the printer?

Meanwhile, I recommend you follow the below steps and check if it helps.

The HP Print and Scan Doctor might get this sorted out

Please download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor from this Link: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/printers/hppsdr/HPPSdr.exe

Run PSDR v5.0.2

Once the PSDR detects the Printer, it will show up the IP address and Software Status.

Select the correct Printer and click on Next.

PSDR will check if the Printer is on the Network and communication between the PC and the Printer. Once the connection check is done, click on Fix Printing

Once PSDR goes through all checks and automatic fixes, click on Print a test page.

Regardless if PSDR printed the test page or not, click on “NO PRINT”

PSDR will then notify you that there is an update available, click on continue, and PSDR will apply the patch and ask for a reboot.

Post restart the PSDR will run automatically to check for more issues.  If no issue found close PSDR.

Also, try using the HP Smart App and let me know if that helps. Link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/hp-smart/9wzdncrfhwlh

I haven't had time to work on this, but first, how do I find out if the the router configured for 2.4GHz or 5GHz frequency?

I did download the HP Print and Scan Doctor and ran it but it didn't solve the problem. I will try this again with your detailed instructions, which will be helpful for me. I may not get to this until later this week. I will let you know how it goes.

Thank you for your assistance.

@Pam724,

Thank you for keeping me posted.

You can check the wireless band from the router status page.

Please post your results, as I will be looking forward to hearing from you.

Good day!

know you are trying to be helpful, but this is not helping since I generally don't trouble shoot and am a user with 0 technical background. Please don't respond, and the next time you want to help someone--assume they don't know anything before you keep telling them to access something, because if they knew that, they wouldn't be on here asking

@Pam724

I request you to talk to HP support.

They might have multiple options to help you with this.

  1. Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true
  2. Select the country.
  3. Enter the serial of your device.
  4. Select the country from the drop-down.
  5. Click on "Show Options".
  6. Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.

I hope that helps.

To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

Cheers.
