HP Officejet 6600
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Hi, I know my printer is out of Warranty but up till now, it has printed with no problems. I just put in HP new ink Yellow, Blue, and pink. They are full.  And my black it fine.

When I went to print something that had Red lettering in it, it printed out a light purple.

How can I fix this problem?

I would greatly appreciate any help.

Thank you

Does this happen while copying too?

Follow these steps to print a test page.

  1. Load plain white paper into the input tray.

  2. On the printer control panel, touch the Right Arrow () to display more options.

  3. Touch Setup (). The Setup Menu displays.

  4. Touch the Down Arrow (), and then touch Reports.

  5. Touch Print Quality Report. The test page prints.

Do you see red on this report?

No, I only see three shades of blue, three shades of pink and three shades of yellow and the black.

The three shades of pink is a dark pink ( it does not look red), next a lighter pink, then a reg pink

I just tried copying and it printed a shade of red. But I don't understand why when I made a document with Microsoft word and it had red lettering in it, the red lettering came out a shade of purple not red.

It's printing Red now.

Thank you for your help
