I have an HP 8710 printer that is shown offline on my HP laptop. I have tried rebooting router, printer, and laptop with no success. I run the trouble shooter and Printer Dr...and it tells me that it can not communicate with Printer. The printer show that it is connected to the WiFi. I also have several other desktops....that are connected and they print without any problems.
I also have a HP Envy 4500e that was connected to another HP laptop....and that one also has went off line. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the software...but it will also not communicate with the printer, which shows that it is connected to the Wifi.

I have tried that the Print and Scan Doctor numerous times......and again just now.....same result.....it remains "offline" on this laptop. I have also used the troubleshooter. That runs and and says that its "fixed", but it actually isn't. It still prints great on desktop.
