HP Photosmart 7520 e-all-in-one printer was not printing; I tried cleaning the print head with alcohol and it would not print at all. I got an error message 'Printer Failure' "There is a problem with the printer or the Ink system. Turn printer off then on. If the problem persists contact HP".
I installed a new print head (CN642A). I got the same error message. I ran the Clean Cartridges function 3 times and was able to print 3 Print Quality Diagnostics reports. I then replaced 2 low level ink cartridges. The error message came back when I tried to print a page from my Mac.
I reset the printer, unplugging the power cord and holding the on/off button in for 1 minute. I still got the same error message 'Printer Failure'. I reset the printer to factory default settings. I am still getting the same error message. I ran the Clean Cartridges function again, it printed but no Yellow shows even though it is a new cartridge.
