HP Pigment Ink Printers

HP Recommended
HP DESKJET PLUS 4152

Hello, I currently have the HP DESKJET PLUS 4152 Printer. I want to know if the ink in this printer is pigment ink or dye based?

also, if I were to shop for printers, how would I know which use pigment ink?? What do I have to look out on ink cartridge and box?

what are the current HP printers that use pigment ink?

thank you in advance! 🙂

Hi,

You should review the ink cartridge specifications, it would not be listed on the box itself.

Most of the cases, a tri-color cartridge will be Dye-based, a single color cartridge is pigment-based, meaning a printer to use 4 individual ink cartridges will likely have all ink cartridges pigment-based, unlike printers with 2 ink cartridges where the tri-color is dye-based.

Such as the Officejet Pro 8000 / 9000 printers, these use all pigment-based inks

The Black cartridge for your printer is Pigment-based:

The Tri-Color one is Dye-Based:
