I know this subject has been brought up already, because I have read and reread them and tried all of the suggestions and I still can't print from my laptop sine I upgraded to Windows 10. I have used the HP Scan Doctor and installed the newest software available from HP. I've run "trouble shooting the printer" from Windows 10. It tells me there's no problem. The laptop has the printer listed on the "devices and printers" window and I am able to print a test page from the laptop. But I can't print anything else from my laptop. I'm at my wits end about this. Please can anyone help me?

Hi @lgregg,
Good Day!! Thanks for taking an interest in the HP Support Forums! I understand that you require assistance regarding printing issues with the printer which does not print correctly. It will be a delight to assist you. 🙂
Spectacular understanding and commendable description of the issue before posting. Kudos to you on that score. 🙂 You are a valued HP customer and it is paramount to assist you here. I take it as a privilege to share this platform with you. 🙂
For better clarity and to assist you better I would require more information regarding this.
- Did it work correctly at least once after the windows 10 upgrade?
- What kind of connection is it? Is it a Wired, wireless or USB connection?
For now, I request you to follow all the steps to uninstall the printer software completely.
- In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
- Select your HP printer.
- Select Uninstall.
- In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
- In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
- Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
- Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
- Click on Drivers tab.
- Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.
- Select OK.
- Remove all instances of the same.
Then install the latest full feature software from this link: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/HP-Officejet-6500-All-in-One-Printer-serie...
This should do the trick for you. Please keep me posted.
Hope this helps. I genuinely hope the issue gets resolved without hassles and the unit works great. 🙂 Please reach out for any issues and I'll always be there to assist you always. 🙂
To simply say thanks, please click the "Thumbs Up" button to give me a Kudos to appreciate my efforts to help.
