Suggest you print a test page.  Search for Printers and Scanners.  Locate your printer.   Select Manage and then print a test page.   If that works then your printer is installed correctly.  If not, then you need to reinstall your printer software and driver.

As it was mentioned. The app is the opposite of smart. You can however open the document, print, choose the printer and it should print.
