HP3525

HP3525 printer unexplainably printing infinite pages when ever i print a status page or test page, any page generated by the printer. I tired powercycling, disconnecting from network and reconnecting, and my last attempt was to update firmware, and i'm surprisingly not finding anyone with the same issue. Its affecting work at the workplace i run the help desk for, came in this morning to 200 pages of GGG printed at the top

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • What is the operating system?
  • Did you make any changes on the settings of your printer prior to the issue?

Keep me posted for further assistance.

The operating system of all the computers at this location are win10, no changes were made to the printer for at least 6 months since i've been working here.

Thank you for posting back.

Let's try this:

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Remove USB cable, if present.
  • Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
  • Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord (This is important) and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle.

Once it's done update printer firmware: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/HP-Deskjet-Ink-Advantage-3520-e-All-in-On...

Keep me posted for further assistance.
