@Caldust, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Try making a standalone copy and check if that works to check the hardware functionality of the printer.

Let us try these steps to resolve this issue:

Reset the printer

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  2. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  3. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  4. Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
  5. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.

Check if the print carriage is moving freely and if there are any paper jams inside the printer.

Refer to the steps mentioned in this document.

Refer to this document to resolve 0x errors on the printer.

Let me know how this goes.

Tried the power cord but it didn't help. Now printer won't even boot. Just installed two new ink cartridges.  Just out of warranty, wouldn't you know.

The printer on/off switch will not work, and when I unplug and  re-plug, the printer lights up without pushing power button. I removed the ink cartridges and tried the power cord solution again to no avail. Still won't boot.
