HP6960 - replaced the Black cartridge with HP cartridge but now printer only prints in gray scale. The printer is recognising the cartridges and PC app also. Have done full factory reset and restore on both printer and pc to no avail.
Have also use the HP printer doctor and that hasn't resolved
Help any other suggestions - don't want to have to replace

To better assist you -
1) Are you able to make color copies using the printer?
2) What's the application you are trying to print from? Have you tried printing from a different application or device?
While you respond to that, let's print a Print Quality Diagnostic page
oad plain white paper in the input tray.
From the printer control panel, open the Setup menu.
Open the Reports or Tools menu.
Touch Print Quality Report.
Post the Print Quality Diagnostic page here so we can help you further.
You may also refer to this document with steps to fix "no color issue" issue applicable for your printer - Black or Color Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues
Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

Thansk for coming back.
No can't get it to print colour copies it says it has colour ink. I have attached the print quality report which just shows the blank ink no colour at all but shows the level of colour ink.
I have been through the print diagnotics stuff on HP wesbite and that didn't fix - it feels like it is switched into permanent grey scale at the printer rather than the computer end if that makes sense.
