HP6968 will not print black ink after installing new HP Instant Ink cartridge

Asus
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Installed new set of HP Instant ink cartridges after getting low ink error.  Now the black ink printed 2 pages and then just faded away.  Will not print black ink any more.  I have cleaned print head many many times.  No black ink still.  I have checked the vent. Interesting, in the settings screen, I can select ink levels, then black.  It gives an option to "Print".  I selected it and it printed a red bar, blue bar, yellow bar and a 'white' bar,  all surround by perfectly clear BLACK brackets.  [   ]
