HP8450 not working on Windows 10 after 16/6/19 update

HP8450 Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My HP 8450 worked perfectly well until the 16 June, since I get a status error message when trying to print. My update history shows changes to the Dot4prt.sys driver.

None of the recommended fixes have worked ( remove and reinstall etc) and despite HP saying that the driver for the 8450 is included in Windows 10 this seems not to be the case.

Any suggestions would be appreciated

Thank you for posting your query on HP Community,

 

After reading the post, I did go through the software and driver download page for this printer and found that there is no full feature software available for Windows 10.

 

If you wish to continue using this printer on a Windows 10 machine you would need to install the printer using Windows built in drivers. 

 

You may follow the steps suggested in this support document for - HP Printers - Installing and Using the Windows Built-in Print Driver
