Have a HP 8600 Officejet Pro.  Printing works fine.  Scanning works fine.  Copying in Color works fine.  When copying with Black only I get many vertical stripes.  Why copying in Black is different than copying in Color and how do I fix the Black only problem?  Thanks.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Does this happen from the scanner glass or the ADF or both?

Try the steps from here: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-officejet-pro-8600-e-all-in-one-printer-series-n911/4322914/...

Try a firmware update: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c02919168

Let me know if this helps.
