Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

Hi

I have been using HP8620 for few years now.

A month ago I started having "Missing or failed printhead"

First i tried to upgrade firmware but it seems I have latest one .

I bought new heads and replaced them yet it did not help

Tried removing and inserting heads again.....yet I get the same message 

Tried to clean the  contacts while doing the following procedure :

Yet I get the same error ......

in the printer dashboard the ink levels shows full .

Any suggestions ?

Where did you buy new printhead?

Was is new or refurbished?

Did new printhead come with 4 new setup ink cartridges? 

 

New genuine printhead should arrive in a kit with 4 ink cartridges.

Hi
To the matter of truth it happened while using a genuine hp cartridges which I always used since I purchased the printer .

As I suspected it might be a printer issue I ordered a compatible cartridges .
Issue still insist even with original cartridges ( Although it shows it is depleted yet the message still remains )
I dont want to spend ~100 usd and toss is to trash.

Don't waste more time and money. Cost of new printhead will be close if not higher than a new printer.

This is an expensive printer  cost ~ 200 USD 

Wonder if there are any other solutions I did not yet consider ?

Any other thoughts ........
