Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.
- Remove the color ink cartridge and try making a standalone copy in black and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.
- Which device are you using to print from?
- Have you tried printing different types of documents like PDF, Word or Webpages and check if the issue persists?
For now, let us try these steps:
Clean the ink cartridges (Remove the color ink cartridge)
On the printer control panel, press the Down Arrow to select Tools, and then press OK.
Press the Down Arrow to select Clean Printhead, and then press OK. The printer cleans the printhead, and then prints a printhead test page.
Also, perform step 12 from this document.
Now, print a Print Quality Diagnostic report (insert the tricolor ink cartridge)
On the printer control panel, press the Down Arrow to scroll to Tools, and then press OK.
Press the Down Arrow to scroll to Print Quality Report, and then press OK. The printer prints the test page.
