hp 6978
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently purchased a new hp 6978 ink jet printer.  Everything setup easily however it keeps jamming.  I'm using the same paper I used on my 5 year old hp printer.  Wondering if there is a thickness limit?  This is pretty standard printing paper but not sure what the root cause is?

@emeester, Welcome to HP Support Community!

This could be an issue with the paper pick up rollers or the paper type used. We can try to isolate and resolve the issue.

Follow the steps from document A 'Paper Jam' Error Displays.

Also, check the supported paper type details from the Printer Specifications for HP OfficeJet Pro 6900 Printers document.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
