Hi there, I start have problem with colour printing, more exactly with the yellow color. Ho I can know is time for change the printhead with this kind of printer with ink tank?  Thanks

Cleaning the printhead and updating the printer firmware may help. Let us try these steps to resolve this issue:

 

Reset the printer

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  2. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  3. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  4. Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
  5. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.

 

Update the printer firmware

Click here to download and install the latest firmware from your computer.

Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.

 

Refill any low or empty ink tanks

Visually check the printer ink levels using the ink tank window.

Filled ink tanks

  1. Maximum fill line

  2. Minimum fill line

Perform step 8 and step 6 from this document.

 

Try printing and check the print quality. To know how to replace the printhead, refer to this document.

Dear Kumar, thank you for your answer, i performed all the steps you told me. The software and firmware of the printer are already updated. The ink thank are already filled. I printed out quality diagnostic page, and yellow color no have in that page. Look like the yellow pipe not go in vacuum so the ink not come to the print head. Please, do you have further suggestions?

If the issue persists, please contact our HP Support team for Service Options as it could be a possible hardware issue:

1) Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/

2) Select your product type below.

3) Enter the serial of your device.

4) Select the country from the drop-down.

5) Select the appropriate option based on your preference.

6) Fill the web-form and proceed further.
