Hi,

You would need to get a full set of genuine HP 680 ink cartridges first and have the printer connected to a PC or a Mac.

Next, contact HP Support in India to reset the printer to accept the local ink cartridges from now on:

Hi,
Thanks for your response and was very helpful. It was quite challenging to reach the Hp tech support after many layers. The Facebook team was not helpful though. They just advised to dump the printer which was very disheartening. I further reached the india toll free  [content removed] and after 2 to 3 days of effort, I was able to do regional reset with the help of the tech support. The guys over the tech support were very humble and helpful. But This entire process is cumbersome from hp. Initially, they asked me to take the print out of status report. I almost had no ink and had to refill the cartridge which was very difficult to get it done during this lockdown period. but once the print out of the report was taken, I don’t know what information was required in the report. It had no significance at all as far as I am concerned. This took me Couple of days And had to roam around.

after the stats report is taken , regional reset was done  by tech support guys. They connected remotely to my laptop and advised The procedure. Once it again as done, I was able to use a new series cartridge.

although much trouble, the outcome was fruitful and hence I was satisfied with the support.

One thumb rule for regional reset is that we should have  some ink left over in the cartridge.
