HP4630 All in one
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am having issues with my Hp4630 all-in-one. Keep getting a " Indicated cartridge not for use with this printer" The black cartridge is indicated. I have tried two different cartridges. One a generic hp compatible 61 the other a Hp61. Both give the same message. I have followed the websites suggestions on unplugging the printer to reset printer, how to properly clean the cartridges and also checked the firmware which is up to date.  Still have the same message and I literally cannot do anything from the control panel on the printer itself. This error seems to have disabled every button on the printer except the power button. I need suggestions on how to fix this. Or do I turn it into a boat anchor and go buy a different printer.

Have you tried these steps - HP Inkjet Printers - Ink Cartridge Errors

 

If the issue still persists, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

 

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.
