Product: office jet pro 6970
Operating System: macOS 10.15 Catalina

I am unable to scan through the scanner if I put the page and close the lid, showing the error message -- no document found in the add  , but if I put the documents in the  ADF  it is working m it is scanning the document

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the scanning issue. 

 

HP Easy Scan is currently not fully compatible with macOS Catalina and we'd suggest you use the image capture. We're actively working to restore complete functionality. You may refer to this document for more information - HP Printers - HP Easy Scan Is Not Currently Supported in macOS Catalina
