HP Deskjet 2600 printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I forgot my EWS password and now I want connect my phone or laptop to my printer. It keeps asking me for the printer password when I try to reconnect them, but I’ve tried all my password combos and the default ones as well. How do I reset the password?

@Wittle, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

The password that is required while connecting the printer to the network/other devices is not a EWS password but the wireless password.

You may refer to this document to know how to find the password.

If you are trying to connect the printer using WiFi Direct, the default password would be 12345678.

If the password has been changed, print a network configuration report to retrieve the same. Press and hold the Wireless and the 'i' button together for 3 seconds and the report prints.

Refer to this document for more info.

Note: The EWS password cannot be reset on this model printer. You may reset the network settings by holding down the wireless button and the cancel button for 3 seconds.

Let me know how this goes.
