8600 Plus

I have an 8600 (n911g)

Printouts were, self clean did not help.

I removed the printhead and flushed all reservoirs with filtered warm water and replaced head and also fitted a new black cartridge - yellow, cyan and magenta had been replaced before cleaning the printhead in an attempt to correct the print issue, so are new and have not printed yet (all 4 are genuine cartridges.)

The printer now says that Yellow, Cyan and Magenta cartridges are all damaged and must be replaced - but they haven't been used!

I tried the reset procedure - 4 presses of the back arrow - and did a semi-reset.

Printer now immediately jumps to "cartridges damaged" after boot up.

cannot get to reset menu now.

All I get is the replace cartridge animation

If I install the black cartridge only, it says I must use the setup cartridge that came with the printer!

I am reluctant to throw more cartridges or a printhead at this printer.

Any ideas?

Regards

Russ
