I have a new HP officejet 8020 series printer. The automatic feeder has stopped working for scanning. There is no paper jam and the feeder works for copying. Has anyone else had this problem?

What exact error or behavior do you see when trying to scan?
How exactly do you scan? (e.g. from the printer front panel, from the HP Smart App, from the HP Scan Application, etc.)
Please clarify the exact steps you are taking to launch the scan, as detailed as possible.

I have tried from the front panel and from the smart app. The smart app scans but just gives me a blank page from the glass when there is a document loaded in the feeder. I just tried again from the front panel and received this message:
'The scan could not be completed. Make sure that the scanning software has been installed and configured on your computer and then try again.'
It's a bit puzzling because it worked just after i got it in January. There was a windows 10 update since then. Would this affect the printer?
