Hello everyone! I have a problem when it comes to printing documents.

Here's the situation:

I would want to print a document and it prints.

I want to print another document and I notice it doesn't print right away.

I look in the que and I see that the first document is printing (even though it's already done)

So I cancel it and it says deleteing in the status

Wait a couple min. and it's still says deleting, meanwhile the second document is not printing out because the first document is in the way.

So I look online and I see that there is the printing spool solution and it work. It gets rid of everything in the que (both documents) and I can print the second one.

Next day the cycle starts over. I have to keep using that printing spool method for a month now and I've never had this much of an issue before. I keep uninstalling printer and reinstalling and still I have the problem over and over again. The printer is an HP Officejet Pro 8600.

Hopefully I made my problem clear and I'm willing to listen to listen to any solution that may resolve my issue.

To sum it up: my main problem is that when I want to print a document a while after I printed another document beforehand, it won't because in the que of the printer it says in the status printing in the first document and when I try to delete it the status would change to deleting but never actually deletes the whole thing and I would like to have it where I never have to repeat something over and over again just to fix it. I want it the way it was like before where I would just be able to print whenever I want.

Thank you and sorry for making this look very long.

@BellaStar0701, Welcome to HP Support Community!

Restart the print spooler and try uninstalling the drivers

Press “Windows key” + “r” to get the “Run” window.

Type "services.msc" to get Services – Go to “Print spooler” – Right-click and “Stop” the service.

Now again open "Run" - Type “spool” and ok - Go to PRINTERS folder - delete everything in that folder.

Go to services again - Start the print spooler.

Now uninstall and reinstall the printer driver. Follow the steps below-

1) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features

2) Select your HP Printer

3) Select Uninstall

4) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers

5) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’

6) Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.

7) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe”

8). Click on the “Drivers” tab

9) Look for the HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom

10) Select Ok

11) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows

12) Close Devices and Printers.

Now, download and install the full-featured software from here.

If the issue persists, I would suggest you try the Windows built-in drivers. Follow the steps below:

•    Go to Control Panel - Devices and Printers - Click on "Add printer" and follow the on-screen instructions.

•    When the page prompts for the drivers, select "Windows update". The driver list will be updated.

•    Click HP, Hewlett Packard, or Hewlett-Packard in the Manufacturer pane, and then click the name of your printer in the Printers pane.

Refer to this document HP Printers - Installing and Using the Windows Built-in Print Driver for help.

Let me know the outcome.

I couldn't delete everything from that PRINTERS folder. How do I fix that problem?

There was an error in restarting so it couldn't compete it and I also tried the other methods to the link and it still says error.

The printer however just says "error" this time.
