I keep getting an error message saying "Cartridge problem, remove and reinstall the cartridge"

HP Envy 5055
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

I have never had an issue with my printer before but I am unable to print anything lately.  It keeps saying there is a problem with my color ink cartridge.  It is still about half way full.  I have tried the options that other forum questions said to try.  I tried unplugging the printer, both from the printer itself and the outlet.  I have tried taking the ink cartridge out and putting it back in.  I have tried updating the firmware and still not working.

What else could fix the problem for me?

Thank you

Hi @Mark22222

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Please try these steps - HP Inkjet Printers - Ink Cartridge Errors

If the issue still persists, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding this.

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Have a great day!
