Incompatible cartrige

Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Suddenly today my printer stopped working. It displays a message saying the ink cartridge is not meant for use in this printer. 


Naturally, i assumed there was an issue with the cartridge but to my dismay, nothing changed. Still the same message displayed. Is there anything i can do to save the printer? I have unplugged from the socket, cleaned contact pins in the printer. Removed and put back the ink multiple times without any luck. I am using Genuine HP 650 black ink.

If you have already performed the steps from the document HP Printer Does not Print and Error Indicates Faulty Ink Cartridge and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.


Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
