Initial Set up Screen stuck on "Load plain white paper"

OfficeJet 8702

My screen is stuck on Load Paper. I am attempting to set this printer up to use for the first time. I have loaded paper and it obviously isn't detecting the paper. I cannot get past this screen, nor can I get the printer to detect that paper is in the load tray already. HELP please

@Officegal_2001
Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Let's try this steps: https://support.hp.com/in-en/product/hp-officejet-8702-all-in-one-printer-series/9249466/document/c0...

(Refer to the step "Printer does not pick up paper from the input tray ")

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

This is a follow-up regarding the printer,

It did not work. Still has same “load paper in tray” message.

Any other suggestions?
