HP Officejet 4630

My computer keep says ' ink cartridge problem' indicating to replace black cartridge.

I have tried three new cartridges but the error will not clear.  What do I do.

@dhbelue

Welcome to the HP Forums 🙂

I would like to take a moment and thank you for using this forum, it is a great place to find answers.

As I understand there's an ink cartridge problem on your HP OfficeJet 4630,

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

Did you check if the cartridges are compatible and genuine HP parts?

Have you looked for related HP Forum posts that have resolved these issues?

If you haven't, Here's a related HP Forums post that seems to have helped others: Click here for the steps.

Also, here's a few steps that could help:

Solution one: Make sure that the cartridges are compatible

Make sure that the newly installed cartridges are compatible with your printer and that they are unmodified, genuine HP cartridges.

Solution two: Remove, inspect, and then reseat the cartridges

Solution three: Clean the electrical contacts
