I am recently registered in the Instant Ink program, have received my first batch of ink, and am using up the ink that came with the printer before I start using the Instant Ink cartridges. Once I have started using the Instant Ink, what happens if I use my own purchased ink, switching cartridges in and out?

 

As an example, If I have to print 20 pages with barely any text, consequently hardly any ink so not worth wasting tracked pages for, can I just put in my own cartridge for the 20 pages and then put back in the Instant Ink catridge after? Would it still track against my used pages?

Hi,

 

Yes you can swap out the II cartidges and any printing will not be recorded on your account. Bear in mind that if any II cartridge is present, any printing will be recorded in your account (both II cartrdiges would need to be swapped out for store bought ones).
