Product: 5740 officejet

I am getting charged $90/mo for the last 3 months by my provider as they are claiming that my 5740 printer is using over 10GB of data daily. I tried to explain it wasn’t possible and without confirmation from HP that this printer is Incapable  of using this amount of data they are refusing to refund/credit me.

Hi

I assume the billing is via the MAC address of the printer?

That is how it is attributed.

 

And turning it off is not an option?
