Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I am trying to replace one of the original cartridges in my HP 3755 printer. I am using the correct cartridge number. I can't get the printer to acknowledge the new cartriidge. I have taken it out and re-installed it. I have turned the printer off and back on,. I have separated the power cord from the printer and reconnected it after 15 seconds. I have prayed (but maybe to the wrong God?)

HP Recommended

It takes several seconds for a printer to recognise and acknowledges a new cartridge. 

You also might have a defective replacement cartridge it can happen.
