My HP Envy 5660 e-All-in-One Printer is not printing.

HP Envy 5660 e-All-in-One Printer
Mac OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion

Dear HP Community,

My printer will NOT print. I have paper in the bin, ink levels are OK, and my wireless connection is confirmed. An HP e-mail Confirmation page was printed-out just fine. When I try to print from my iPhone 6 - software version 12.4.4, or my MacBook computer, all I get is what sounds like printing; as the typing paper rolls through the printer and a blank page comes out...(???) = "HELPPP-P - P - P!!!"

Thank You,

ltinonga

@ltinonga, Welcome to HP Support Community!

This could be an issue with the drivers or the application installed. Let us try the steps below-

Update the printer firmware

Download available firmware updates from the HP website

With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates. Refer to the document HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

For Mac Computer-

Restart the devices-

  1. Turn the printer off, and then wait 10 seconds.
  2. Disconnect the printer power cord from the printer.
  3. Turn off the computer or the device you are trying to print from.
  4. Connect the printer power cord to the printer, and then turn on the printer.
  5. Disconnect the power cord from your wireless router, and then wait 10 seconds.
  6. Reconnect the power cord to the router. Wait until Internet service is restored. Internet service is interrupted while the router is off.
  7. Turn on the computer.

ensure that the printer is up to date with its firmware and Mac is up to date with its software. If you are unsure you may use the links below to update the printer firmware and Mac software:
