Although, I get the following message -  "Printer out of paper" -  it is not out of paper and when I turn the printer on and off, a blank sheet comes of printer.   The real problem may be that  my PC is not communicating with printer.  My HP Envy110 is hardwired into my CPU.  Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to help you with the "Out of Paper" error. 

 

Let's try these steps -

 

1) Take out the cartridges.

2) Unplug the power cord from the printer & wall.

3) Wait for 30 seconds. 

4) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not to a surge protector.

5) Insert the cartridges back into the printer.

 

Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

 

If the issue still persists, try these steps - 'Out of Paper' Error Message Displays and the Printer Does Not Pick Up or Feed Paper

Unfortunately, these suggestions did not fix the problem.  I can't print any Word documents although sometimes a PDF (or part of a PDF) will print from the internet.  Any other ideas?  Is there any other HP support that won't cost a lot of money.  I'm a retired senior citizen and don't want to spend money to get this older printer working.
