My cyan ink cartridge has run our until a new one arrives how can I print in black?

It is an HP Officejet Pro 8600 N911g

You will have to insert black cartridge aswell to print.

This printer requires all the cartridges for printing.

All ink cartridges were inserted at the time, so still did not work .  Is there not a solution that when a cartridge runs our and you don't have a replacement there and then, how to get around this?
