I've been printing with this printer and laptop for a couple of years, so I wonder if I just pressed a button accidentally to cause this issue. I have established that I have plenty of colored ink right now and the printer prints in color, when scanning photos from the printer, but when I try to print pictures in color from my laptop, the only options given for any of the programs within it are only black and white. It used to supply me with the option to print in color. What do you think I did to my laptop to not permit me to print in color from it? Oops. Just remembered The Geek Squad had looked at it for viruses and cleaned things up a bit before this issue came up, so perhaps they did something to make this happen?

@Winonahh, Welcome to HP Support Community!

This could be an issue with the installed drivers or the print driver settings. Let us try to isolate the issue and further resolve it-

Refer to the document HP Printers - Print Settings Guide (Mac) for help on adjusting the print settings.

Ensure that the printer is up to date with its firmware and Mac is up to date with its software. If you are unsure you may use the links below to update the printer firmware and Mac software:

Update printer firmware

Update software on Mac

Remove and add the printer

Click the Apple menu, and then select System Preferences.

Depending on your operating system version, click Print & Fax, Print & Scan, or Printers & Scanners.

Click the name of your printer, click the Minus sign, and then delete the printer.

Select printer and click the minus sign

Click the Plus sign, and then click Add Printer or Scanner.

Click the Use or Print Using box, and then select AirPrint

Select AirPrint from the Use menu

Click Add to add the printer to the list.

Try to print.

Keep me posted for further assistance.
