I received a message to help me connect my printer to my web page and was given intructions, "Locate the IP address and type it in a browser..." What does that mean?

Thank you so much for your help. I have decided to purchase a new printer and will be donating my current printer since HP informed me that they no longer provide support for "old" printers. My printer is five years "old" and is working fine but not being able to connect to web services and use the E-print function made the decision for me.

Welcome to the HP Forums 🙂
I would like to take a moment and thank you for using this forum, it is a great place to find answers.
As I understand the printer will not connect to web services,
No worries as I'd love to help, however, I need a few more details to provide an accurate solution:
Have you attempted to locate your IP Address and make use of it as described in your message?
What is the product number of your device & Which operating system are you using? Use this link to find your product number: http://support.hp.com/rs-en/document/c03754824
(Do not share any personal information such as serial number, email ID, phone number or address on a public forum for your safety).
While you answer to those questions, here's a few things you should know:
normally, that message refers you to the EWS (embedded web service) to better access of your printer via web,
And to ensure all the settings are in accordance with your preferences,
Keep me posted,
Feel free to post your query for any other assistance as well,
It's been a pleasure interacting with you and I hope you have a good day ahead.
If you wish to show appreciation for my efforts,
Mark my post as Accepted Solution.
And click on the Purple Thumbs up icon at the bottom of my comment.

My product number is WS322AV. My printer will print (Network but for some reason I still cannot connect to Web Services. I am using Windows 7, I have located my IP address and the printout shows that it IS connected. However, it is NOT connected to Web services.
