Need to do a hard reset to factory settings

HP OfficeJet Pro 8710
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

My job at my employer was eliminated back in October.  They did not want to retrieve the company printer -- only the laptop. The printer has been locked and I'm unable to adjust the wireless settings.  I've already tried a few default resets and reboots via the Smart App, but I still get the message that the printer is locked and to get with the admin.  Can you please provide directions for a reset that will allow all settings to be removed?  Otherwise it will be useless and I will need to throw it away.

@CREE24, Welcome to HP Support Community!

 

The only option left is to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer. 

 

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device. 

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
