Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I went to replace the 61 tri-color cartridge in my Officejet 4630.  After printing the alignment page the printer started giving a message that the cartridge need to be replaced.  Replaced the old one and it worked (but no magenta, the reason for the replacement).  Powered off the printer and tried the new cartridge and received the "cartridge must be replaced" message again.

 

I have ordered a new cartridge, but is there a way to get the new one to work or get it replaced.  Unfortunately it was a spare and I no longer have the receipt.
