New HP ink cartridge - test page printed fine, but nothing else

HP Envy 5660
macOS 10.14 Mojave

I kept getting an error message that my printer was out of ink but knew that wasn’t the case. I put a new 62XL cartridge in and it printed the test page perfectly. When I tried to print something else, it came out unreadable. I would appreciate your help with this.

If you have already performed the steps from the document Ink Cartridge Errors and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

 

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
