New Officejet Pro 7720 not accepting red or yellow cartidges

Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Bought this printer and got it delivered today. Went through the setup procedure but it constantly states that I have to "remove and reinstall all the indicated cartridges" The ones that are in the printer are the ones that came with the printer as set up cartridges. I have uninstalled the drivers, reset the printer and started from scratch but having the same problem. I am getting no help from HP - their solution is to return it at my cost to the place where I bought it from. They wouldn't even entertain my option of sending out replacement Cyan and Yellow cartidges - these are the only ones that are causing the problem. Someone please help.
