Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am setting up this printer and the alignment page prints blank and nothing prints although it sounds like it is printing. Although this printer has been in storage since 2014 it is new and laminated  in the original box so I know the ink is authentic and the display settings confirm the cartridges are full. I tried the ‘clean nozzle’ but that didn’t change anything. I’ve read some of the queries from people with similar issues where they recommend cleaning out cartridges with alcohol etc but since they were new in original plastic I don’t think that’s the issue. Although the printer thought it completed the print alignment successfully it failed on the scan. I did remove the tape before inserting them. I was able to set up the WiFi and everything else. Would appreciate a fix; thank you.🌻

Hi @ElenaNYC

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

Its been 6 years and the ink could have dried up even if the packaging is intact. Kindly perform the steps mentioned in this document to resolve this issue.

Try cleaning the printhead up to 3 times for better print quality.

If the issue persists, I suggest you buy new ink cartridges.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
