Example: HP OFFICEJET 6978
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a hp 6978 officejet printer i have in the past been able to use non hp printer cartridges, but now i can't. I read on hp support that you sent us a firmware update that stopped accepting non hp cartridges. Why would you do that to long time customers

HP does this to force you into buying OEM.

You can try finding the old file for the last firmware and try loading that but sometimes HP will block doing that as well.

just talk to someone from where you got your INK they might have a new set with a more update chip on it

Or you can take the OEM chips and place them on the Third party ones they would probably read low but might work.
