I have not used my printer for 2 years, I think the cartridge’s have dried out and clean print head is doing nothing. If I buy new cartridges will it work or have I left it standing too long?

@Dannypb2000, Welcome to HP Support Community!
There are chances of the ink cartridges working and not working until you buy new ink we cannot guarantee the functionality of the printer. When the printer is not used for long usually the ink cartridges dry out. Replacing the ink will bring back the functionality of the printer.
You definitely can try your luck by getting new ink, in case that does not work, we can help you further.
I hope that answers your concern adequately. Let me know!
