Office Jet 4650 Problems

Officejet 4650
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Replaced color cartridge with genuine HP cartridge

On Windows 10 wireless, prints colors way off

Black/white print blank.(about 20% ink left)

Ran print & scan doctor, it updated software, test page blank

Cycled Printer power, no help

Tried Windows 7 wireless computer, similar problem except print and scan doctor test page partially printed

Tried copying, similar problems, color partially printing, black and white blank

Any suggestions, or time for new printer?

Office Jet 4650 Problems

@wrmiles

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Cleaning the ink cartridges can improve print quality. Clean the ink cartridges from the printer control panel, then evaluate the results.

NOTE:

To avoid issues that require cleaning, always turn the printer off with the Power button.

  1. Make sure to load the input tray with plain, white paper.

  2. On the printer control panel, swipe the display to the left, then touch Setup.

  3. Touch Tools, then touch Clean Cartridges.

  4. If the print quality is unacceptable, click Yes when prompted to perform the next level of cleaning.

  5. NOTE:

If the printhead is badly clogged, it might require another cleaning cycle. If so, wait 30 minutes before you perform both levels of cleaning again.

If the issue persists, please perform the remaining steps from this document: https://support.hp.com/ie-en/product/hp-officejet-4650-all-in-one-printer-series/5447930/document/c0...
