Hi, I'm having an issue printing black and white photos with my officeJet 7110 and Lightroom. I'm using Ilford Smooth Pearl photo papers (glossy finishing), and in all my prints I have some black halos against the light as you can see in this picture. Can someone say the correct printing settings?

Hi @iNick1982

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

Try making a standalone copy of a picture in black and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

Check the ink levels, and then replace depleted cartridges

On the printer control panel, press and hold the Cancel button () for 3 seconds, and then release. The test page prints.

Update the printer firmware

Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.

Use an automated tool to clean the printhead

  1. Click the Apple menu, and then click System Preferences.

  2. Depending on your version of OS X, click Print & Scan or Printers & Scanners.

  3. In the Print & Scan or Printers & Scanners window, select your printer, and then click Options & Supplies.

  4. Click Utility, and then click Open Printer Utility.

  5. Click Maintain Your Printer, and then click Clean Printheads.

  6. If the print quality is unacceptable, click Cleaning Level 2 to continue the next level of cleaning.

    NOTE:

If the printhead is badly clogged, it might require another cleaning cycle. If so, wait 30 minutes before you perform both levels of cleaning again.

You may download HP Utility from here if not installed on the MAC.

Try printing and check if the issue persists.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

That's unfortunate. If the issue persists, please contact our HP Support team for Service Options as it could be a possible hardware issue:

1) Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/

3) Enter the serial of your device.

4) Select the country from the drop-down.

6) Fill the web-form and proceed further.
