A couple weeks ago the printer started print streaks/blotches of pink in areas that should be darker blue and/or purple.  Print test pages look fine, ink cartridges have been replaced, performed the internal cleaning process twice, powered completely down/unplugged for a day with cartridges out, doesn't look any better.  Attached you can see two pictures - one of a photo on a computer, the other of what this looks like when printed out.  streaks are side to side.  Printer was purchased in 2017.

Ink is genuine HP ink - from the monthly HP ink plan.20200120_213120.jpg20200120_213126.jpg

Hi @shaunkep

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

Have you tried making a standalone copy of a picture and check if the issue persists? By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

Also, check the print settings on the PC. Set the print quality to 'Best'. Make sure the correct paper size and paper type have been selected.

Refer to this document to make the settings on the PC. (Check under 'Print quality and improvement settings')

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Thanks for the help Kumar0307 - sorry just now getting back to this.  Here are the results of the tests you asked for:

1) making a photocopy does the same thing - still has the streaks in the blue area.  See attached copy of the "Blokus" paper

2) printing in "BEST" quality is a little better but still has streaks - attaching pictures I printed at "normal" and at "Best"

Looking forward to your feedback.

thanks,
