@D1-_1

If the error is gone, you don't have to try the printer reset again.

Let me know.

None of the reboot procedures has worked.

One person suggested taking out the ink cartridges, but the support arm will not move when I open up the printer, so that won't work.   I did read that  if the printer is older that two years, there is little tech support still available.   This printer is at least five years old.

 Every time I turn the printer on an error code shows up, and many times it is  not the same error code . I am still trying,  but I have ordered a new printer.

Any suggestions would help.

There was a power outage and once power resumed, my printer did not! It lights up with various error codes. I have unplugged it and plugged it back in,  I have held the ON button for 15 seconds--neither has allowed me to get out of the error message. I am unable to remove the ink cartridges as they are fully moved to the right and unable to be pulled out. Any ideas?

Hi @Barb3456

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to help you with the printer error.

Let's try these steps -

1) Take out the cartridges.

2) Unplug the power cord from the printer & wall.

3) Wait for 30 seconds.

4) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not to a surge protector.

5) Insert the cartridges back into the printer.

Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

If the issue still persists, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

Have a great day!
